Listing rules
Last updated November 1, 2026. TorquePower LLC.
1. One machine, one record
Every listing on TorquePower is tied to the machine's own ID number: its VIN, HIN (boats), PIN (tractors and heavy equipment) or the maker's serial number. The machine keeps one permanent record; listings come and go. No ID number, no listing.
Use the number stamped on the machine's ID plate or frame, not a number from paperwork for a different machine. If the machine is already on TorquePower, your listing joins its existing record.
2. What you can list
- Outdoor power equipment you own or are authorized to sell: mowers, tractors, UTVs, saws, snow blowers, generators, boats and similar machines.
- One live listing per machine at a time.
- Machines in any condition, as long as the condition is described honestly ("needs repair" is fine).
3. What you can't list
- Stolen machines, machines with a removed, altered or swapped ID plate, or anything you can't legally sell.
- Machines you don't have (no "coming soon" or bait listings), or the same machine twice.
- Parts-only bundles without a machine ID, services, or anything that isn't a machine.
- Recalled machines that haven't had the recall work done, unless you say so clearly.
4. Describe it honestly
- Price: the real asking price, or leave it blank for "Ask". No fake low prices to draw clicks.
- Hours, year and condition: as accurate as you can, and say if the hour meter has been replaced.
- Photos: your own photos of this exact machine. If you don't have any yet, TorquePower may show the maker's stock photo of the model, always labelled "Stock photo — not this exact machine".
- Known problems, liens or missing paperwork must be mentioned.
- No contact details, links or payment instructions in the description; buyers reach you through TorquePower messages.
5. Dealers
- Dealer listings must show the dealer's real business name, and each unit must be in the dealer's stock.
- Mark units as sold or remove them promptly once they sell.
- Prices must not hide required fees; if freight, setup or documentation fees always apply, say so.
6. Offers and messages
- Be respectful. No spam, threats or scams.
- Never ask for payment by wire transfer, gift card or cryptocurrency to someone you haven't met, and never ask a buyer to pay before they've been able to check the machine and its ID plate.
7. Reports and what we do
Anyone can use "Report this listing" on a listing page. We review reports and may close a listing, ask the seller for proof (like a photo of the ID plate), or close an account. Serious cases, such as a likely stolen machine, may be passed to the police. You can also email [FILL IN: abuse and copyright email, e.g. abuse@ your domain].
8. Sample listings
Before launch, sample listings marked "Sample" show how TorquePower works. They aren't real machines for sale and can't be messaged, saved for alerts, or receive offers.
